Why Trolley Locks Are a Necessity for Safety

Although most shoppers probably don't pay attention to their trolleys (except when they are low quality and don't maneuver well), as a supplier to retailers, we pride ourselves on high quality and easy to maintain trolleys. We also understand that while this is a necessity for the industry, many retailers are forced to buy trolleys more than they might necessarily desire due to theft. This is why having trolley locks is so important.

Having trolley locks holds the customer accountable. Making them pay a fee to use the cart means they are less likely to leave the premises with it - resulting in a lower overhead for you. And as spaces and rents are at a premium, lowering overhead is a smart idea and will go a long way toward increasing your bottom line. These locks are a valid investment into your business.

Another issue are the fines that imposed by Council for abandoned trolleys. This is a common occurrence and again, hurts your bottom line. Installing locks will help to reduce this from happening - and therefore keep more money in your pocket.

These locks can be fitted onto many different types of trolleys. This means that even if you have different kinds within your retail store, (and you probably do) chances are that locks can be fitted on them. You also have the choice as to what to charge customers - $1 or $2 dollars.

Locks should be made of sturdy material that will not break or rust. They should also be easy to use for customers - they certainly don't want to put a lot of effort forth to obtain a trolley. They want to come into your store, get what they need, and get out the door in a convenient fashion. Making the locks easy to use is an important aspect for shoppers and for you.

Don't let your business lose money - especially when you have the ability to decrease costs and overhead by installing something as simple as trolley locks. Doing so can add a sense of security for you as well as customers.
